"Glory be to the ONE INFINITE GOD in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and to our FATHER In HEAVEN in the Name of JESUS our personal Savior and Sovereign Lord!
The man Jesus is the incarnation (the fleshing) of the Spirit Christ or Christ Spirit or, simply, Christ, Who is the Word of the One God, thus in Jesus dwells the fullness of the Deity in bodily form. In a real sense, the fleshing of the Christ Spirit in the body of Jesus, a man, has made the Christ true man and the man Jesus true God. Thus, Jesus is truly God and the Christ is truly man - the God Man.
Heb 10:5-7. Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; 6 with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased. 7 Then I said, ‘Here I am — it is written about me in the scroll — I have come to do your will, O God.’”
Jn 1:1-5: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.
Jn 1:14: The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. Col 1:17-20. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
Col 2:9-10. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity (Godhead) lives in bodily form, 10 and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.
This is the Gospel of Peter in Acts 2:29-36 that indeed the Christ, promised by God to king David, had come in the man Jesus, and with Him and in Him also the Kingdom/Reign of God.
Ac 2:29-36: “Brothers, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day. 30 But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.
“31 Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay. 32 God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact.
“33 Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. 34 For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said, ‘The Lord said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand 35 until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”’ 36 “Therefore let all Israel be assured: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”
God’s promise to the patriarch David was declared through the prophet Nathan in 1 Chronicles 17:10-14:
1 Ch 17:10-14: “I declare to you that the Lord will build a house for you: 11 When your days are over and you go to be with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, one of your own sons, and I will establish his kingdom. 12 He is the one who will build a house for me, and I will establish his throne forever. 13 I will be his father, and he will be my son. I will never take my love away from him, as I took it away from your predecessor. 14 I will set him over my house and my kingdom forever; his throne will be established forever.”
To show the Jews that Jesus was indeed the fulfillment of God’s promise to send them His Anointed from the line of King David, to be King over Israel, the apostle Matthew traced the lineage of Jesus to the patriarch King David.
Mt 1:17-21: “Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Christ.
18 This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: “an angel of the Lord appeared to him (Joseph) in a dream and said, ‘Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.’”
And angels announced the birth of Jesus and declared the child Jesus to be the Christ.
Lk 2:8-12): And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.”
During Jesus’ wanderings preaching the “then coming of the kingdom or reign of God” on earth, Jesus referred to himself by one title only - that of the Son of Man.
Mt 16:13-16: When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “who do people say the Son of Man is?” 14 They replied, “some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 “But what about you?” he asked (Peter). “Who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Mt 9:4-6 : “Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts? 5 Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk?’ 6 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.”
Mt 12:3-8: “Haven't you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? 4 He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread — which was not lawful for them to do, but only for the priests. 5 Or haven't you read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple desecrate the day and yet are innocent? 6 I tell you that one greater than the temple is here. 7 If you had known what these words mean, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent. 8 For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
Mt 13:40-43: “As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. 41 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. 42 They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.”
Even before the birth of Jesus, the angel Gabriel already declared Jesus as the Son of God.
Lk 1:35-36: The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.”
Jesus Himself also admitted that He indeed was the Son of God.
Jn 5:25-27: “I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. 26 For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself.”
Mt 26:63-64: The high priest said to him, “I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.” 64 “Yes, it is as you say,” Jesus replied. “But I say to all of you: In the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
After the death, the resurrection, and the ascension of the Christ, the Christ Spirit assumed forever the name of JESUS and the form of the man Jesus, the very bodily form of one of His human creations - now glorified and glorious for its new dwelling in heaven back with the Father.
Jn 17:5: “And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.”
Php 3:20-21: But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
Jesus, God the Son, the resurrected Christ was revealed in His glorious body in human form in Revelation 1:12-18:
Rev 1:12-18: “I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and among the lampstands was someone “like a son of man,” dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. 14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. 15 His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. 16 In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance. 17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: ‘Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. 18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.’”
And the human name “JESUS” which the resurrected Christ had acquired become vested with the power of salvation.
Acts 4:12 “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”
Php 2:9-11: “Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
1 Jn 2:23: “ No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.”
Thus, the One God, who is unseeable, unnameable, and unknowable, has revealed Himself fully to humankind, through the incarnation of the Christ Spirit in the form of a man and has given us the Name of that Man-God - JESUS - Whose Name He wants us to invoke as we stand before the One God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - in our worship, offerings, and prayers.
Let us be confident always that with the Holy Spirit in us ever willing to translate and transmit the groans of our hearts in prayer to the One God that, in the name of Jesus, He will always grant us whatever we need as we walk through this life into eternity.
Ro 8:26-27: In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.
Finally, we believe that Christian Unity can be achieved with these new revelations of the One God in a Trinity of Persons - the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit - and of One Name - JESUS - given to us for our salvation.
For Scriptures say that anyone, and by implication, any Church Denomination that acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
1 Jn 2:23. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
Those that acknowledge the Son and the Fathers have the Holy Spirit also, for our Roman Catholic Creed declares the Holy Spirit as “proceeding” from both the Father and the Son!
Finally, those that have the Son, the Father, and the Holy Spirit have the One God also and the fullness of that One God.
This is the ultimate proof that God the Father is not the One God but represents the LIMIT of the One God’s revelation of Himself to humankind. I believe this is a NEW revelation to the Church of God for our time and age - the Doctrinal Foundation for the Unity of All Christian Church Denominations - and for understanding the various non-Christian monotheistic religions in the world.
Let us then glorify the One Infinite God in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and our Father in Heaven in the name of JESUS.
The lay members of unitarian churches and their pastors should demand from their theologians that they give serious consideration and study of the Trinitarian Theology. The healing of the fractures of the Church of God into thousands of denominations into a UNITY can only begin with a TRINITARIAN understanding of the One God as He revealed Himself in His words and in history and UNITARIAN in their worship of HIM, through God the Father, in the Name of God the Son - JESUS! May the Holy Spirit enlighten their minds and lead them to this Divine Truth.
